We offer a simple but comfortable overnight stay in the small village of "Solicchiata"(at 700m asl), located on the north slope of the volcano Mount Etna, in Sicily. The valley is a fascinating mix of vineyards, olive growths, lava and forests. It is a good location for hiking and trekking, on foot or with bikes. The winterseason offers good skiing possibilities, either on or off piste.
From the airport of Catania, one needs approximately 1 hour by car. The famous, historical town of "Taormina" is less than half an hour drive away from Solicchiata.
